This recirculating NFT (nutrient film technique) kit is a space saving solution for people who want to grow lettuce, strawberries, basil and other herbs.  Each 1m length is drilled with 5 holes and can be joined with additional gullies.  Gullies can be sited on staging or wall mounted.

Some of you may have seen James setting up a NFT system on "It's not easy being green" - The Achiltibuie Garden system is more compact with the option to add more gullies.  We place our seedlings into 2" net pots with clay granules and then into the polar gully.  The beauty is that the plants are supported in the gully and the clay granules and pots can be used again - absolutely no waste! With the correct choice of seeds you are able to use this system all year round - you can even add an aquarium heater to the tank to keep the water and nutrients warm.

Our friends at Houghton Lodge have disguised an internal brick wall with stunning displays of strawberries and flowering plants growing in these gullies.
