hydroponics eco centre - The Hydroponicum UK

This an exciting new project that's happening at the Hydroponicum. Over the next two to three years we will be expanding the scope of the visitor experience by incorporating more green technologies and renewable energy exhibits into our display areas. At this time there is no facility in Scotland to demonstrate these technologies and so we will be the first "Eco-centre" in the country.

We are starting immediately so we already have some small scale exhibits in place - from demonstration solar hot water systems to a train set and bagpipes running entirely on the sun's energy. We will soon have wind power up and running.

We will soon be supplying a range of related products in our online Hydroponics shop.

We are also looking at how the Hydroponicum could be even greener. Waste minimisation, energy efficiency and increasing the wildlife potential of the surrounding grounds are all being targeted.
