The valve allows approximately 25mm depth of water / liquid feed from a header tank into the tray or trough in which your plant pot is situated. Once used up completely, the valve opens and allows the same amount in again. Thus the watering rate is determined by the rate of use of the plants.

The SmartTray is a low cost and a low maintenance system suitable for many types of plant. A single AquaValve regulates the flow of water and nutrients to the SmartTray.
Tray is 61cm x 61cm (2ft x 2ft) and is supplied with 4 x 10 litre pots. Growing in pots means you can remove and change plants when and where necessary. Plants can be lifted from one system to another with ease and without causing stress to the plant. The pots can be used with a wide range of growing media such as soil mixes, coco fibre, Rockwool, Perlite, Vermiculite and combinations of each.
Extending the SmartTray system can easily be done by using connecting tees in the existing pipe of the system to link more trays.

Using an Air Cage is simple and can increase growth by up to 50% and in some cases will shorten the time that your plant takes to mature.

When you are setting up your AutoPot system, simply place an Air Cage in the bottom of each pot with the bubble ring facing down leaving the clear airline hanging out over the rim of the pot. Fill the pot with your usual growing medium and connect the airline to an airpump.
